The DIALED-RC Version 1 tire was the very first tire that owner and operator pf Dialed-RC, Gene 'the machine' Hickerson, decided to design. The V1 is a dual stage mini pin that works in all conditions, and exceptionally well on dusty blue grooves such as those found in his home state of Florida.

Hickerson had this to say:

V1- This tire is based off my favorite 1/8 tire of all time. How could I improve on the best you might ask? Well I had 2 goals in mind on how to do that. The first improvement was to increase forward acceleration. Traction and consistency was already there but lap times were slower than other less consistent patterns. By redesigning the pin shapes and locations, we have achieved that. The Second goal was to make the tire work better as it wears out because what good is a tire that lasts a whole hour if it’s only Dialed for the first 15 minutes? Again we achieved this by pin shape and locations which improves the performance on the worn down pins so it will continue to have traction until bald.

So far our tests have gone even better than expected - I took 1st place with in my very first A-main with them at the Florida RC Championships. The tire sticks to the track like Velcro even with a thick layer of dust on the groove, and accelerates faster than the tire I based my design on. This is my "GOTO" tire because it gives comfort and consistency with fast lap times on any and all conditions. Once the track develops a low dust groove, or a very abrasive groove, then I may switch to another tire to try to squeeze out every little bit of speed available. But a set of V1 will always be in my pit bag. The V1 will be available in every compound, the others will only be available in the compounds we expect them to work best in.
