The Losi 5IVE-TE 3.0 is based on the DNA of the renowned 1/5-scale gas-powered 5IVE-T, which has become a benchmark in the large-scale RC community. Its design and engineering DNA are rooted in the company's successful 1/8-scale and short course platforms. The 5IVE-TE 3.0 builds on this DNA with the first-ever purpose-built electric 5IVE-T platform.
Designed to handle extreme stress with superior performance in mind, the new SPMSS1000MT metal top servo is keeping the 5IVE-TE pointed in the right direction. The 1000 oz/in hi torque metal top servo is more than just your standard large-scale servo. The metal top case not only helps keep all the gears aligned but also acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the servo motor to enhance performance and durability.
This new 12S 250A ESC is the highest-powered offering to date from the Spektrum Firma lineup of ESCs. This ESC is designed for large-scale, high-power applications featuring Spektrum's SMART Technology.
The Spektrum Firma 560kv 70120 motor is a high-power, large-scale sensorless brushless motor. The 70mm diameter and 120mm length is the largest motor Losi has ever put into a surface vehicle. This 12S-capable motor is intended for serious, high-performance applications like the 5IVE-TE 3.0.
50.4 volts of power means cooling is essential! The motor is encapsulated by an aluminum heat sink that mounts two high-volume fans to ensure the motor temperature stays in the optimum range.
Built around frequency-agile DSMR technology, the Spektrum SR6200A 6-channel DSMR receiver delivers superb range and response along with unbeatable signal security in a compact, easy-to-install package. AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology increases your stability on tough terrain. Compatible with innovative Smart Technology, the SR6200A receiver also provides real-time telemetry data when used with a Smart ESC and Smart battery.
The throttle limiting function on the included Spektrum DX3 2.4GHz transmitter allows novice users to limit the truck's top speed to 50% or 75% of its full potential until they're ready to unleash its full potential. Using a Smart battery, you can monitor the available capacity on the transmitter's Smart battery level indicator.
The Losi 5IVE-TE 3.0's massive size and power mean that the body shell takes a serious beating during aggressive driving and rollovers. The new injection-molded body panels flex and absorb impacts, making them highly durable. The injection-molded bodies also maintain a uniform thickness, increasing their strength by eliminating thin spots that can occur in a vacuum forming process.
The 5IVE-TE 3.0 has an all-new, straightened center drivetrain to optimize strength and efficiency. The straightened drivetrain is a proven design that eliminates compound angles within the drivetrain, significantly improving driveshaft durability.
The 32mm Big Bore Shocks have a larger diameter than the original 5IVE-T shocks, allowing for more oil volume and improved damping. The new, larger Big Bore shocks increase the fluid volume by an incredible 78% over the original 5IVE-T shocks. The tapered piston design helps to increase the pack while creating a more controlled, faster rebound for improved overall traction.
A new easy-access center diff mount simplifies the removal and maintenance of the center differential. The new design allows access to the center differential by unbloting 6 screws and removing the top plate assembly.
KMC is a globally recognized brand known for its stylish and rugged off-road wheels. Their innovative designs aim to be both visually appealing and highly functional. The 5IVE-TE 3.0 features officially licensed KMC KM549 Wheels with Pro-Line Pro-Loc technology.
New front and rear suspension arms feature added material around the lower shock mounting locations, providing uniform arm thickness for improved durability. Adjustments to the shock geometry correct the shock angles from the tower to the arm with the new, larger 32mm Big-Bore shocks.
Optimizing gearing on the 5IVE-TE 3.0 was a crucial part of the development process. The right gear ratio can significantly transform how the truck accelerates and performs, particularly when increasing the overall size of the truck and its tires. The 5IVE-TE 3.0 now comes with a new 43/12 ring and pinion gear, and 67t spur to get this beast of a truck moving.
Highly detailed scale Pro-Line Mirage TT tire in a new, larger 8.5” size. The design utilizes proprietary Pro-Line Pro-Loc bead technology for secure tire mounting.
