Axial expands the SCX24 lineup with its first Toyota micro crawler! The Toyota 4Runner is among the most capable full-size off-roaders, and the same is true for this RC version. Toyota fans will applaud the detail of its officially licensed hard body.
In The Box
The Axial SCX24 2024 Toyota 4Runner achieves a high level of scale realism with its officially licensed, extra-durable ABS hard body. Even the most die-hard Toyota fans will appreciate its exceptional detail.
Oil-filled shocks allow the Toyota 4Runner’s suspension to articulate smoothly over rough off-road terrain. You can adjust the preload to fine-tune the rig for your handling needs.
Like the larger, 1/10 scale Axial SCX10 platform, the 1/24 scale chassis of the SCX24 Toyota 4Runner features rugged and sturdy steel C-channel frame rails with bracing to keep everything intact and aligned.
Metal worm gears in the Toyota 4Runner’s front and rear differentials contribute durability, high ground clearance, and strong drag brakes.
The front and rear axles consist of a two-piece, molded composite solid axle design. For optimal handling, the 4Runner’s suspension features a 3-link front and 4-link rear setup.
Axial has optimized the 4-link design of the Toyota 4Runner’s rear suspension geometry to reduce axle steer and torque twist.
Steel front and rear axles, front stub axles, and dogbones give the Toyota 4Runner the strength and durability needed to keep going during tough climbs and over rough trails.
The front and rear drive shafts are splined and sleeved to allow for maximum suspension travel while keeping power to the wheels.
The included Spektrum SLT2 transmitter is designed to help all drivers succeed on the trails. Its throttle limiting feature, for example, can limit the rig’s maximum available speed to 50% or 75% until you’re ready for it all. Four AA batteries are included.
The included Dynamite 88T 180-size brushed electric motor provides the right amount of torque for making steep climbs. It's mated to a steel motor mount to keep flex to a minimum and help protect the gears.
The Toyota 4Runner may be small, but its high-quality features deliver big-league performance and value. Rather than cutting costs with bushings, for example, the drivetrain spins freely on sealed ball bearings throughout the entire vehicle.
Complementing the exceptional detail of the scale hard body, Axial has outfitted the SCX24 Toyota 4Runner with officially licensed Toyo Open Country R/T tires. These tires offer a fantastic blend of rugged off-road performance and scale realism.
