Equipped with a high performance, single-speed LCXU transmission, the SCX10 III 1987 Toyota Xtra Cab has a low center of gravity for stability over courses and trails. The transmission includes a full set of ball bearings, all-metal internal gears for strength and durability. The internal gears can also be switched to allow for our optional standard axles (SA gears sold separately). The included Dig function allows you to lock the rear wheels on command to give tighter turning and also help the front tires grip the rock on those hard-to-reach ledges.
The new clipless body system is tough and is built to take some tumbles on the trail. It also gives the truck a nice clean scale look and feel. Just push in the latching tab on the rear of the truck, lift and pull back and your body is off in seconds.
Included Trail-Gear AR45 portal axles provide extra ground clearance at the differential for easier off-road maneuvering. The Trail-Gear axle housings are the perfect finishing touch for this scale SR5.
Officially Licensed Trail-Gear Creeper Lock Beadlocks finish off the scale look and performance of this truck. Interco Super Swamper Tires give the grip and ground clearance needed to conquer any trail.
The all-new battery tray is integrated into the boat side rock slider giving plenty of space to fit anything from a small competition style battery to a big 5000mah trail LiPo battery. The Elastomer strap gives quick access to the battery while still holding it securely in place.
Durable Trail-Gear rock sliders improve both scale looks and performance as they not only protect the body and chassis but help the SR5 glide over obstacles.
The oil-filled shocks have aluminum threaded bodies and a single coilover spring. The shocks are tunable for achieving the best damping rate. These shocks are the ultimate mix of scale and performance!
The 3-link front suspension geometry of the SR5 is optimized to reduce bump steer, while the rear 4-link reduces torque twist.
The included and installed power system features an Axial Slickrock 35T brushed motor and Spektrum 40A waterproof brushed ESC. With this simple and reliable combo, you'll spend more time on the trails and less time performing maintenance.
Sealed receiver box withstands the elements and protects the Spektrum 5-channel SR515 DSMR receiver. Take on any terrain with confidence!
The included Spektrum SLT3 transmitter is designed to help all drivers succeed on the trails. Its throttle limiting feature, for example, can limit the rig's maximum available speed to 50% or 75% until you're ready for it all. Four AA batteries are included.
Strong and stiff, the SCX10 III steel C-channel chassis reduces frame flexing and increases the precision of suspension movement. The two-piece chassis design allows you to adjust your trucks wheelbase with ease.
The new and improved boat side rock sliders provide a smooth angled bottom that gives increased ground clearance and allows SR5 to slide over rocks and obstacles with ease.
